Who we are and what we do

We are a mother and daughter design team working from our new riverside studio, which overlooks East London. We love drawing, making patterns and developing ideas. Seeing our new ideas and transforming them into new designs is what makes us tick.

We founded MissPrint in 2005: working together seemed the obvious path for us, as we both have a background in textiles and a passion for print design.

How we work

Our designs start their life in a sketchbook; this is where the ideas and concepts begin. Sketchbook drawings and illustrations are then developed into designs. You never know exactly how a design will turn out.  You have an idea which you develop into a pattern -  and voila, a new design is born.

Applying the designs to products such as wallpaper is really exciting. Wallpaper, fabric and interior accessories have the power to transform everyday spaces so dramatically. Through colour and pattern you can completely change the mood and atmosphere of any interior space.

What inspires us

It may sound like a cliché but inspiration is all around us, colour, shapes, motifs patterns and textures are everywhere. Nature is a big influence on our work - a simple leaf or flower has so many beautiful qualities of line, shape, colour and texture.

Our design philosophy

We believe that good design is something that is not unnecessarily fussy or over designed but well balanced with attention to detail.  It is something that withstands the test of time and becomes a classic whether it is wallpaper, fabric, architecture or a piece of furniture.

Our stylistic influences

Mid-century design, which is marked by its simplicity, clean lines and organic forms. We also love Scandinavian design characterized by its elegance and minimalism.
